AcquiOS describes an existing-template acquisition workflow with Excel and PowerPoint outputs. Moraine combines an editable property DCF with source-linked diligence for office, retail and industrial. The decision is whether your team prioritizes preserving a house workbook and deck, or reviewing the property model inside a dedicated underwriting workspace. Test both on the same deal.

Which team should evaluate each?

A team whose fixed house workbook and PowerPoint template are the deliverables should test AcquiOS template preservation first. Moraine is a candidate when the team wants to edit the property model, compare scenarios and inspect document sources in one workspace.

Moraine’s current limits include no multifamily, hotel or self-storage underwriting, no native Yardi/MRI connectors and no live multi-user editing. Those are selection criteria, not implementation details. Security status and pricing should also be checked before a live-data trial.

Buyer decision scorecard

DecisionWhat to demonstrate
House workbook and deckDemonstrate one approved input through the required Excel model and final committee exhibit.
Workflow ownershipConfirm whether Moraine’s editable model or your house workbook is the authoritative calculation surface.
Output requirementIf PowerPoint is mandatory, test it separately; Moraine does not promise a finished deck or PDF.

For each test, record the expected result, actual result, source evidence, correction required and analyst review time. Agree on a pass criterion before the trial. A source link or vendor description is not a comparative performance result.

A practical comparison test

Bring a shopping-center acquisition with percentage rent, CAM caps and tenant turnover. Check that the approved source inputs reach the correct formulas and that a downside case changes all dependent schedules. A completed spreadsheet does not establish that every recovery provision was interpreted correctly.

Record elapsed analyst review time, unresolved inputs, source traceability and required manual corrections. Agree on the expected result from a previously reviewed deal before testing. Neither a vendor’s speed claim nor this comparison is independent evidence of performance.

Competitor capabilities beyond that page and current commercial terms have not been independently tested. Unknowns are questions for the trial, not claims that a feature is absent.
